Former President Donald Trump slammed the report, calling it a “disaster” and blaming the administration’s open-border policies for allowing foreign-born workers to take jobs that should go to American citizens. “This is what happens when you don’t prioritize American workers,” Trump said.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) also expressed concern, stating that illegal immigration is driving down wages and eliminating job opportunities for native-born Americans. “This report shows that the Biden-Harris administration’s policies are hurting American families,” Lee said.
The report also revealed a significant loss of full-time jobs. In August, 438,000 full-time positions were eliminated, while 527,000 part-time jobs were created. Many of these part-time roles lack essential benefits like health insurance and retirement savings, making it difficult for families to achieve financial stability.
