During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) warned that the Republican party wouldn’t “survive” if former President Donald Trump were the presidential nominee again in 2024.
The RINO congresswoman, who has lost a significant majority of her support among conservatives due to her rabid Trump Derangement Syndrome, warned the GOP not to allow Trump to win the party’s nomination again.
“I think that he can’t be the party nominee. And I don’t think the party would survive that… I believe in the party, and I believe in what the party can be and what the party can stand for. And I’m not ready to give that up,” Cheney said.
The Wyoming Republican went on to falsely claim that “millions of Republicans have been betrayed by Donald Trump,” asserting that he has torn the country and the GOP apart.
Cheney also tried to claim that she had morals and a “responsibility” to uphold what the Republican Party stands for, despite the fact that she threw Trump and his supporters — many of whom are her own voters — under the bus several times, including when she told ABC that she would do everything in her power to make sure that the former president never makes it back into the Oval Office again.
“Those of us who believe in Republican principles and ideals have a responsibility to try to lead the party back to what it can be, and to reject, and to reject so much of the toxin and the vitriol,” Cheney said, despite the fact that she is well-known for being one of the most toxic members of the Republican Party, having joined the Democrats in their partisan January 6 committee.
Cheney and RINO Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) are the only two “Republicans” on the committee, though the two of them have shown that their reasons for joining are likely due to a personal vendetta against the former president more than a need to seek justice related to the incident on January 6.
When asked about the committee hearings, the so-called Republican congresswoman claimed that Trump has the “most dangerous behavior of any president in the history of the nation.”
Shockingly, Cheney reportedly hasn’t yet ruled out a potential 2024 presidential run for herself, claiming that she will make the decision “down the road.”
"There's no question: A man as dangerous as Donald Trump can absolutely never be anywhere near the Oval Office ever again.”
