A Brooklyn-based drug ring that supplied cocaine to the Hamptons’ wealthy residents has been dismantled following the arrests of Alexandr Dyatchin, 38, and Michael Khodorkovsky, 44. The pair allegedly operated a cocaine “delivery service” that ferried the drug from Brooklyn to high-end clients in the Hamptons, charging up to three times the standard street price.
Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney revealed that Dyatchin and Khodorkovsky used Mercedes cars equipped with hidden compartments, known as “traps,” to transport cocaine and MDMA to their exclusive clientele. The operation came to light after an undercover investigation, which led to their arrests on August 2.
“Their business was extremely lucrative, given the inflated prices they were able to charge,” Tierney stated at a press conference. The duo’s arrests were part of a larger law enforcement effort targeting drug and gun trafficking networks across Suffolk County.
When authorities apprehended Khodorkovsky, they found a significant stash of cocaine, along with $38,550 in cash and 39 gold coins valued at $100,000 in his Brooklyn apartment. Dyatchin’s rented home in East Hampton contained nearly 600 grams of cocaine, 269 grams of MDMA, and over $19,000 in cash. Both men, who were also rideshare drivers, conducted drug deals inside their luxury vehicles after meeting clients at elite Hamptons spots like the Montauk Yacht Club.
The pair has been arraigned and is currently held on $2 million cash bonds. The investigation is part of a broader crackdown that has resulted in 39 indictments and hundreds of criminal charges in Suffolk County.
