Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, has accused the Biden-Harris administration of using the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) probe into Russian influence as a smokescreen. He argues that the real foreign influence threat comes from China and its entanglements with left-leaning politicians and corporate media.
Speaking on the Charlie Kirk Show, Kassam highlighted that the DOJ’s investigation centers on Laren Chen, a Canadian influencer who has been critical of President Donald Trump. He added that other figures linked to the probe, like Tim Pool and Benny Johnson, seem to have been involved without their knowledge, according to DOJ statements. Kassam likened the situation to the 2016 election cycle, claiming it’s a repeat of efforts to tarnish the right.
Kassam stressed that Chinese influence, particularly from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is a much more significant issue. He cited recent allegations involving Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) accepting bribes from foreign governments and highlighted how CCP programs, such as Confucius Institutes, are embedded in American schools, promoting pro-China propaganda.
The role of corporate media in amplifying foreign influence also came under scrutiny. Kassam pointed out that outlets like News Corp, CNN, and Bloomberg are influenced by foreign money, accusing them of operating on a “pay-for-play” model. He emphasized that The National Pulse is free from such influence due to its member-funded structure.
Kassam believes the DOJ probe is conveniently timed to distract voters from scandals involving left-wing figures and corporate media ties to foreign governments.
