Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) said the FBI is “working to catch the other bad guys,” while Gov. Jeff Landry confirmed that law enforcement is “hunting some bad people down.” Officials are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of the suspects.
Investigators searched the home of Jabbar’s ex-wife, whose current husband reported that Jabbar exhibited alarming behavior tied to his recent conversion to Islam. Federal agents are exploring all possible connections to ISIS or related networks.
Reports indicate the FBI Hostage Rescue Team has been deployed to assist with the operation. The elite unit is equipped to handle complex and rapidly evolving threats such as those posed by terror cells.
