People can now earn money simply by locating Supreme Court justices. Of course, they can only be conservative ones, according to an organization considered to be a part of the Antifa, ShutDownDC.
The activist group said on Friday they would pay anyone that locates the justices. ShutDownDC tweeted, “DC Service Industry Workers… If you see Kavanaugh, Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Coney Barrett, or Roberts DM us with the details! We’ll Venmo you $50 for a confirmed sighting and $200 if they’re still there 30 mins after your message.”
Nowhere in the tweet or on their website does it say where the money is coming from.
Instead of allowing the high court to do its job, many leftist groups have geared up to harass the justices that affirmed the ban on abortion at the federal level.
The call was especially focused on service workers at restaurants. ShutDownDC specifically wanted people that were at their jobs to take the time to point out when a Supreme Court justice arrived at their workplaces.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh had been enjoying dinner at Morton’s in D.C. when the tweet went out. As protestors started to show up, Kavanaugh abruptly exited through the rear door.
Daniel Lippman from Politico tweeted about Kavanaugh’s departure when protester’s started to show up.
To date, no Democrat has called out the group for posting the potentially dangerous payout effort.
President Joe Biden’s administration is not willing to challenge the implied threat on the conservative members of the Supreme Court. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre would not denounce the activist call to be where the justices are.
Jean-Pierre said at a press conference on Friday, “People should be allowed to be able to do that. If it’s outside of a restaurant, if it’s peaceful, for sure.”
Of course, as with so many issues, the left would be outraged if the situation was reversed.
