Libs Of TikTok Visits AOC At The Capitol Building

At the beginning of February, a hearing on social media censorship was conducted by the US House of Representatives, bringing numerous viral moments. One of those instances involved Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (AOC) questioning of former Twitter spokesperson Yoel Roth. Some have decried AOC’s interview with the former Twitter representative, arguing she was simply lathering him up.

As she spoke with Roth, AOC reportedly made no effort to ask about people who had been censored by platforms such as Twitter. The congresswoman instead elected to go after Chiya Raichik, more commonly known by her social media name, Libs of TikTok.

In February, AOC spoke with Roth at the hearing, falsely claiming that Raichik’s account had lied about Boston Children’s Hospital offering hysterectomies to children.

She also erroneously claimed that the highlighting of the hospital’s pro-child mutilation policy led to “real-life harassment and ultimately a bomb threat.”

As Greg Price pointed out, nothing the Libs of TikTok account posted about the hospital was a lie or misrepresented.

Raichik decided to take matters into her own hands, posting a video accusing AOC of lying and also showing her visit to the congresswoman’s office at the Capitol building.

The well-known online influencer knocked on AOC’s door, which was answered by a lady who appeared to be a staff member of the congresswoman.

“[AOC] lied about me on the house floor a couple of weeks ago,” Raichick can be seen saying to the woman at the door. “So I just wanted to ask her why she lied about me.”

The AOC handler answered, “gimmie a minute” only to slam the door and seemingly never come back.

“I don’t think we’re going to get to talk with her. I don’t know if she’s in or not, but I think that door slam was really telling,” Raichick said. “I don’t think they want to talk to us.”

A Twitter user called “Washington’s ghost” reacted to the clip, joking, “Now she’s gonna accuse you of insurrection.”

RedState offered an analysis of the interaction, claiming that AOC hates Raichik, and is happy to tell lies about her conduct for one major reason: she puts the extremism of the left on display by using their own content.

As the outlet noted, the social media influencer simply listens to what leftists say before putting it out for everyone to view, adds nothing, and “lets the chips fall.”
