Montana Operative Caught Tampering With Ballot Box Linked To Democratic Party

A Democrat operative in Montana has been caught on video tampering with an official ballot drop box in Glacier County, sparking concerns over election integrity. The operative, Laszlo Gendler, who is associated with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), was filmed trying to tear the box off the wall. The DSCC is supporting Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) in his race against GOP candidate Tim Sheehy.

Election officials in Glacier County reported the incident to the Montana Secretary of State’s office. According to Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen’s Communications Director, Richie Melby, Gendler’s actions were highly suspicious, and local law enforcement is investigating. Gendler allegedly told officials that he had been sent to check the security of the box, but the Democratic Party did not notify the elections office about this activity.

Glacier County Election Administrator Crystal R. Cole noted that the drop box was under 24-hour surveillance. The footage captured Gendler’s tampering attempt, raising concerns as the race between Tester and Sheehy remains highly competitive. Polls show Sheehy leading Tester, and Republicans are eager to flip the seat as they seek to regain control of the Senate.

The investigation is ongoing, and election officials are monitoring the situation closely to ensure the security of the voting process in Montana.
