On Sunday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk responded to concerns about the popular “Libs of TikTok” Twitter account being shadowbanned — revealing that an automated system at Twitter had throttled the account after detecting nudity in some of the media it posted.
The account, which is run by author and activist Chaya Raichik, tagged Musk in a tweet on Sunday expressing concern about the shadowban — which makes it extremely difficult for those who search for the account to find it.
“Hi @elonmusk, these are just some of the messages I received in the past week. I’ve been shadowbanned for weeks now. Is there a reason why accounts are still getting throttled like this in Twitter 2.0?” Raichik wrote in the tweet from her “Libs of TikTok” account, sharing screenshots sent to her by several people showing her that they had a problem finding her account.

Musk, who subscribes to the “Libs of TikTok” account, responded to her several hours later.
Referring to the automated system that detected nudity as a “d—k pic bot,” Musk said that some of the media Raichik had posted from various “Pride parades” had caused the bot to throttle her account.
“Your account was labeled as NSFW by our d—k pic bot on 6/26, because you posted media with nudity from Pride parades,” Musk tweeted, using the acronym for “not safe for work.”
“Corrective action is to label the individual posts as NSFW, rather than the whole account. Should be fixed now,” he added.

Raichik thanked Musk for fixing the problem in another tweet from her “Libs of TikTok” account, sharing a screenshot that showed her account was no longer shadowbanned.

In another tweet from her personal account, Raichik later joked about the way Musk described the automated system.
“Twitter has a d—k pic bot,” she tweeted alongside a crying laughing face emoji.

It is unclear which tweet from “Libs of TikTok” triggered the automated detection system and shadowban, as she has shared numerous videos and pictures that included nudity from many different events for Pride Month — including a video of disgraceful behavior from so-called “transgender” individuals at the White House’s “Pride” event.
