Musk Threatens Legal Action Against Walz For MSNBC Remarks

Elon Musk is considering taking Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to court after the Democrat pushed an inflammatory claim on MSNBC. During an appearance on “The Rachel Maddow Show,” Walz asserted that Musk performed a Nazi salute at President Donald Trump’s inauguration rally.

The claim, which has been debunked by multiple sources, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, resurfaced when Walz insisted, “Of course he did,” in response to Maddow’s question about the gesture. The comment quickly drew backlash, with many questioning Walz’s motives for continuing to spread the accusation.

After filmmaker Robby Starbuck posted the clip on X and called for Musk to sue, the billionaire responded, “I think I will.” He later referred to Walz as “creepy” and included a clown emoji in his post, signaling his disgust at the remark. Musk also suggested he may take legal action against MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow for amplifying the claim.

The controversy began after a moment at Trump’s inauguration rally where Musk tapped his chest twice and extended his right arm. Left-wing commentators seized on the gesture, attempting to tie it to Nazi imagery, but Netanyahu and others dismissed the accusations as politically motivated attacks.

Musk, who spent $277 million backing Republicans in the 2024 election, has become a frequent target of left-wing media figures and politicians. Walz, who ran as Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick, has continued to attack Trump and his supporters following his election defeat.

Neither Walz nor MSNBC has responded to Musk’s possible lawsuit. Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index lists Musk’s wealth at $428 billion, making him the richest person in the world.
