Recently released autopsy reports have revealed unsettling details surrounding the tragic incident at The Covenant School in March. According to the report, 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who identified as transgender, carried a chilling array of items when she entered the Christian elementary school on that fateful day.

The autopsy report indicates that Hale’s clothes were adorned with mysterious “handwritten words, drawings, and numbers.” The significance and content of these notes remain unclear, leaving authorities searching for possible clues about her motives.
In addition to the disturbing notes, Hale carried a knife inscribed with her preferred name, “Aiden,” and wore an orange plastic anklet engraved with the number 508507. The tragedy unfolded on March 27 when Hale opened fire inside the school, claiming the lives of three 9-year-old children and three staff members.
Following the shooting, authorities conducted a raid on Hale’s residence, uncovering a cache of troubling items. Among the findings were ammunition, weapons, several journals, a dozen school yearbooks, and a suicide note.
Efforts to gain access to Hale’s unredacted manifesto have faced legal challenges. The National Association of Police, alongside America First Legal, filed lawsuits to access the writings of the disturbed woman. In May, a judge read Hale’s unpublished manifesto, but the full contents remain undisclosed.
Even though Hale’s parents objected and transferred ownership of the manifesto to the families of Covenant School students to keep it from being released, a judge allowed 100 out of the school’s 112 families to intervene in the legal proceedings.
America First Legal’s vice president and general counsel, Gene Hamilton, expressed that the public has a right to access these documents under the law. However, authorities have maintained custody of the manifesto, as it is still considered part of an ongoing investigation. The tragic event and the subsequent legal battles have left the community in mourning and seeking answers.
