New York City Mayor Eric Adams revealed that President Joe Biden told him to “be a good Democrat” when he raised concerns about the migrant crisis crippling his city. In a discussion with Tucker Carlson, Adams said he was stunned by the president’s lack of urgency in handling the situation.
Adams explained that his administration has been overwhelmed by the sheer number of migrants arriving in New York, many of whom lack work authorization and require long-term support. He said the burden on city services is becoming unsustainable and called for federal intervention.
The mayor, who has been indicted on charges including bribery and wire fraud, voiced frustration over his party’s failure to address the crisis. He accused Democratic leaders of turning their backs on working-class citizens struggling under the weight of illegal immigration.
Having been indicted by the Biden DOJ for political crimes, New York Mayor Eric Adams is sounding a lot like a Trump voter these days.

Adams has called for changes to the city’s sanctuary policies, particularly regarding migrants who commit crimes. He stated that individuals involved in criminal activity should face deportation and expressed a desire to work with President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, to resolve the crisis.

Carlson pressed Adams on whether New York City’s policies contributed to the crisis, but Adams insisted that the problem lies with federal mismanagement. He said the city is doing what it can but cannot shoulder the responsibility alone.
Despite potential backlash from his party, Adams’ spokesperson defended his decision to engage with Carlson, saying the mayor believes in having conversations across the political spectrum to find solutions. Adams has indicated his readiness to cooperate with federal officials to address the migrant crisis.
