Project Veritas: Mark Kelly Lying About Pro-Life Position

The undercover journalists at Project Veritas issued a shocking report on Tuesday showing a paid staff member of the reelection campaign of Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) admitting the incumbent is lying to Arizona voters about being pro-life in order to try to win over moderates.

Evynn Bronson is the staffer captured in the latest bombshell from Project Veritas. She said Kelly is fabricating a narrative about being pro-life in order to play both sides in the tight contest with GOP candidate Blake Masters. However, she assured the reporter that Kelly is absolutely not pro-life in reality.

Bronson, Mission for Arizona Field Organizer for the Kelly campaign, said that when she encounters pro-life voters she tells them the senator is also pro-life but is “also pro-keeping the government out of our healthcare. I don’t know, something stupid like that.”

She said that she would never tell a pro-life voter that Kelly is pro-choice, “even though he is.” She said she would come up with some story like, “You know, after his wife was in a shooting, he values life so much. It’s just a shame.”

Bronson went on to say her candidate has to “play both sides” since 40% of people are undecided about whether to vote Republican or Democrat. Whether that figure is accurate or not, she also said that Kelly will never say “anything outright about what he’s going to do” unless it will help his standing with independent voters and some of the Republicans who are moderates.

The latest RealClearPolitics (RCP) polling average has Kelly holding on to an average lead of 1.5 percentage points over Masters. However, with the adjustment included that RCP uses for GOP underrepresentation in Arizona polling since the 2016 election cycle, Masters is in the lead by 0.1%. With the recent polling trends indicating that Masters is closing quickly against Kelly among independent voters, RCP projects Masters will be the winner in Arizona on November 8.
