President Joe Biden has been accused of leaking a phone call he had with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for political gain, according to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL).
The private phone call between the two leaders was leaked to the public. In the call, Biden congratulated Netanyahu for successfully fending off Iran’s attack but expressed that Israel would lose U.S. support if it retaliated against Iran for the Saturday night attack.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, the Florida lawmaker stated that the president had purposely leaked the private phone call as a way to appease anti-Israel supporters.
“They know that Israel’s going to respond – they know that for a fact,” Rubio told host Jake Tapper. “So, why would the White House leak it?”
Senator Rubio blasts Biden, alleging a leak of his call with Netanyahu was a calculated move to pacify the far-left fringe of his party cheering for Iran’s attack on Israel. “There’s only one reason they leaked that,” the Florida Republican explained. “And that is that so when Israel does respond, the White House can say, ‘We told them not to do it,’ and at least somehow in some way, appease these so-called peace activists.”
Iran directly attacked Israel on Saturday as retaliation for the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, which killed high-ranking officials in its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) April 1.
After Israel was attacked with hundreds of drones and missiles, many anti-Israel activists cheered, praising Iran. According to the ADL, one such anti-Israel activist was Chicago-based writer Shabbir Rizvi, who was filmed teaching protestors how to say “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” in Persian.
In the past few months, Biden has lost many of his pro-Palestinian supporters due to his support for Israel, especially among Muslim Americans.
Biden has always been supportive of Israel, vetoing many U.N. calls for a ceasefire until recently. Many anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian supporters have not hidden their discontent with the president, which has been seen in a majority of the polls.
Rubio warned that these protestors who call for peace want to see Israel’s destruction and should not be labeled as peaceful.
“By the way, these ‘cease-fire now’ people who were out yesterday cheering the launch of hundreds of rockets and drones and missiles against Israel,” said Rubio. “People that are out there cheering military attacks of this scale and scope are not peace activists. These are antisemites, anti-Israel, pro-terrorist elements out there. And we need to stop calling them peace activists.”
Why leak that Biden told Netanyahu not to respond to Iran’s massive attack against Israel?
Because the Biden Administration is still catering to its anti-Israel, antisemitic base. pic.twitter.com/t6E4nqedt4

If the White House did purposely leak the phone call, it’s an indicator that Biden is scared of losing to former President Donald Trump and is willing to backstab Israel, a longtime ally, to ensure his victory.
