Soros-Funded PAC Spends Millions In Final Push To Help Democrats In Texas

A Soros-backed political action committee has ramped up spending in Texas as the November election approaches, hoping to flip key congressional and Senate seats. Texas Majority PAC disbursed over $5 million between July and September, targeting regions that have seen increased Republican support in recent election cycles.

The PAC is heavily involved in Senate candidate Colin Allred’s challenge to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, who holds a narrow lead in the polls. The group’s spending has focused on majority-Hispanic counties like Cameron, Hidalgo, and El Paso, where Republicans have made significant gains. The goal is to reverse those trends and deliver Democratic victories in close races.

Dallas County Democrats were another beneficiary of Texas Majority PAC’s efforts, receiving $1 million to support voter outreach and get-out-the-vote initiatives. The county played a crucial role in the 2020 election, providing a substantial number of votes for Democrats, and is expected to be key again in 2024.

Republicans have expressed concern about the influx of outside money from groups like Soros-backed Texas Majority PAC, warning that it could disrupt the state’s conservative foundations. “This is part of a broader strategy by Democrats to flip Texas, and it starts with pouring millions into these counties,” a Cruz campaign spokesperson said.
As Election Day approaches, the spending by Texas Majority PAC signals a clear effort to change the political landscape in Texas.
