Sunny Hostin’s Husband Accused Of Fraud In Major RICO Case

Dr. Emmanuel “Manny” Hostin, husband of The View co-host Sunny Hostin, is facing allegations of fraud in a RICO lawsuit filed last month in New York City. The lawsuit accuses Hostin of billing for unnecessary medical procedures and accepting payments disguised as kickbacks.

Hostin is among nearly 200 defendants named in the case, which American Transit Insurance claims involves fraudulent billing practices for services provided to taxi and rideshare drivers. The lawsuit alleges that Hostin performed procedures that were not medically necessary and submitted inflated claims to the insurance company.

Hostin’s legal team has pushed back against the allegations, describing the lawsuit as baseless. His attorney, Daniel Thwaites, accused the insurance company of attempting to evade legitimate payment obligations and targeting healthcare providers unfairly. “This case is an attempt to intimidate and discredit doctors,” Thwaites said.
