Texas PAC Quietly Invests Millions To Support Democratic Candidates

With Election Day looming, a Soros-backed group known as Texas Majority PAC is ramping up spending to boost Democratic candidates across the state. Recent campaign finance records show the PAC disbursed more than $5 million between July and September, a significant increase from earlier in the year.

This surge in spending comes as Democratic Senate candidate Colin Allred closes in on Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, whose lead has shrunk to just over 3 points. Texas Majority PAC’s financial boost is aimed at key Democratic strongholds like Dallas County, which received about $1 million for voter outreach and get-out-the-vote efforts.

The PAC has also focused heavily on majority-Hispanic counties like Cameron and Hidalgo, areas where Republican support has grown in recent years. These counties are crucial battlegrounds for both Senate and House races, and the PAC hopes to turn the tide by funding Democratic campaigns in these regions.

Republicans, including Cruz, have expressed concern over the outside influence in Texas elections, particularly from groups funded by Soros. “Texas is a conservative stronghold, but groups like this are pouring in millions to change that,” said a Cruz campaign spokesperson. “Voters need to remain vigilant.”

As Democrats eye the potential to flip key seats, Texas Majority PAC’s spending highlights the importance of the state in the national political landscape.
