Time Magazine Owner Blasts Harris For Dodging Interview Requests

Time magazine owner Marc Benioff took to social media over the weekend to criticize Vice President Kamala Harris for not granting the magazine an interview, despite repeated requests. Benioff shared his frustration on X, noting that Harris is the only Presidential candidate who has not sat down with Time.

“Despite multiple requests, Time has not been granted an interview with Kamala Harris—unlike every other Presidential candidate,” Benioff wrote. He added that transparency is key, and that Time has a longstanding practice of publishing full interviews with political leaders.

Benioff linked to past interviews with President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, stressing the importance of providing candidates a platform to engage with the public. However, Harris has chosen to participate in more unconventional media outlets like the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, avoiding mainstream political interviews with Time.

By contrast, Trump has been active on conservative media platforms, regularly appearing on Fox News and various right-leaning podcasts. Harris is scheduled to do her first sit-down interview on Fox News with Bret Baier on “Special Report” this week.

Benioff’s comments highlight the growing pressure on Harris to engage more broadly with the media, particularly as the 2024 Presidential race heats up. Her decision to avoid Time has raised questions about her strategy for connecting with the public.
