Trump Says That He Wants To Debate Biden ‘Immediately’

As the country prepares for a 2024 presidential rematch between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, Trump is eager to begin the debates. On Monday, the former president announced on the hit conservative radio station “The Dan Bongino Show” that he wants to debate his opponent “immediately.”

“I’d like to call for, immediately, debates,” Trump told Bongino. “I’d like to debate him now because we should debate,” continued the former president. “We should debate for the good of the country.”

While in Las Vegas, Nevada, reporters asked Biden about his impression on debating Trump.

“Well, if I were him, I’d want to debate me too,” Biden told reporters. “He’s got nothing else to do,” Biden continued.

Trump has expressed his interest in debating Biden since last year. In December, he did a previous radio interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, stating his willingness to debate the president.

“Oh well I look forward to that,” Trump responded. “How about 10 debates?”

The president also refused an interview during the Super Bowl as well. It took no time for Trump to volunteer to take his place.

“He can’t do it, because he can’t talk,” Trump said regarding why Biden turned down the interview request.

There has been much speculation about the president’s cognitive ability. Last April, Biden was criticized after it was discovered that reporters had been previously chosen to interview him. He also used cue cards with the names of the reporters, their pictures and questions they were to ask him so he would not be caught off guard.
