Former White House trade advisor Peter Navarro was arrested at the Nashville Airport while trying to board a flight. The arrest came because he defied a subpoena from the January 6 Commission.
Navarro said that he was placed in leg irons and handcuffs, strip searched and not given access to food or water. He said he was also placed in solitary confinement and illegally denied access to his attorney.
Leg irons/hand cuffs, strip search, no food/water. Solitary confinement. Illegally denied access to my attorney. All for standing up for Trump/Constitution. Help finance legal effort AND put Trump back in WH. Order Taking Back Trump's America today. https://t.co/5L1YrqfhgZ

His arrest upset former President Donald Trump, and rightfully so. Trump posted on Truth Social, “Our great trade genius, Professor Peter Navarro, was just handcuffed, shackled, and put in jail, while the lowlifes of ANTIFA & BLM are allowed to rip off the public, roam free on the streets, kill people and destroy our once great cities (all run by Democrats).”
It wasn’t only that the judicial system failed the country by not prosecuting rioters to the fullest extent, but our current vice president and a large portion of the Democratic party advocated or fundraised for rioters’ release.

Trump also said, “When will this end? The American people will not stand for it much longer! Great patriotic heroes are being created every day. FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE must rule the day!”
The January 6 Commission is going after everyone they can. Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) wrote, “While today’s indictment of Peter Navarro was the correct decision by the Justice Department, we find the decision to reward Mark Meadows and Dan Scavino for their continued attack on the rule of law puzzling.”
Maybe it’s because they didn’t do anything wrong.
It’s already been proven that Adam Schiff (D-CA) doctored text messages between Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Mark Meadows. That wasn’t exactly a good start for the January 6 Commission. Even after, there hasn’t exactly been compelling evidence to suggest that people who entered the capitol building were trying to overthrow the government and Trump influenced them to do so.
It’s also shocking that the January 6 Commission is going to be televised, but the Ghislaine Maxwell trial wasn’t. The left will continue to live life in a world of double standards and blame Republicans any chance they get.
