As Hurricane Milton approaches, President Donald Trump opened the doors of his Miami golf resort to 275 linemen from Florida Power & Light, providing them accommodations as they prepare to help with recovery efforts. Eric Trump shared a video of the workers checking into their rooms and thanked them for their service in responding to the incoming storm.
Hurricane Milton, once classified as a Category 5, has been downgraded to Category 3, though officials warn it will still bring mass flooding and damage to critical infrastructure. Over 6 million Floridians are currently under evacuation orders, with preparations in place to respond quickly once the storm hits.

The Doral resort, where the linemen are staying, features over 600 guest rooms and typically commands prices upwards of $300 per night. Trump’s decision to host the workers reflects his ongoing support for disaster recovery efforts in Florida and beyond.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has called upon 50,000 linemen from across the U.S. to be on standby. This will be the largest staging of utility workers in U.S. history, aimed at restoring power to millions of homes and businesses in the aftermath of the storm.
Donald Trump donated $25 million to hurricane victims and he’s now hosting 275 linemen in Florida at his resort for free.

Trump has also been actively raising funds for victims of Hurricane Helene, launching a GoFundMe that has already raised more than $7 million. The money will be directed to those most affected by the storm, which devastated several Southeastern states last week.
