China’s ever-growing military power is prompting President-elect Donald Trump to reassess U.S. defense capabilities and pursue major reforms to counter Beijing’s influence. With a rapidly expanding missile arsenal and an increasingly powerful navy, China poses a significant challenge to American dominance, both militarily and geopolitically. In response, Trump is focusing on military modernization to ensure the U.S. remains the world’s top military power.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is expanding its missile force, with projections suggesting that it will surpass 1,000 nuclear warheads by 2030. In addition to its missile expansion, China has been heavily investing in its naval forces, which have become the largest in the world, potentially shifting the balance of power in the Indo-Pacific region.

Trump’s administration is ready to overhaul U.S. military strategy to match China’s growing capabilities. Central to this effort is the enhancement of nuclear deterrence and missile defense systems. Modernizing the U.S. nuclear arsenal will be crucial to maintaining strategic superiority over China, which has been rapidly increasing its own nuclear stockpile.
Of course, China is ready for war.
Since 2018, China has sensed the danger of WW3 and been preparing for it. I have a classmate who works in a military enterprise. Since 2018, he has rarely attended parties because he always needs to work overtime on weekends. You think NATO and… pic.twitter.com/elVSoExcBI

Equally important is the U.S. Navy’s modernization. Trump plans to expand the fleet and strengthen naval capabilities to protect critical international trade routes and defend U.S. interests in the Pacific. Investments in next-generation shipbuilding technologies, including advanced missile systems, will be a priority.

Additionally, Trump’s plan emphasizes the need to eliminate wasteful spending within the Pentagon. China’s increasing military power is only matched by its growing influence in the tech world. Trump’s plan includes investments in advanced artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to combat the psychological warfare tactics China has deployed against the West.
@MFA_China Hypocrisy. The amount of military exercises surrounding Taiwan 🇹🇼, the militarized #ChinaCoastGuard through the #SouthChinaSea, the buildup of missiles deployed, and you're talking about the need for peaceful development? 🤣🤣🤣https://t.co/JHtMLaExw5
