Unprecedented Number Of Chinese Nationals Surging US Border

Border Patrol agents detained approximately 10,000 foreigners who unlawfully came into the United States between border checkpoints within the initial seven months of Fiscal Year 2023. Among those migrants were 8,000 single adults, with the majority being military-aged males.

Fox News reported in March that the U.S.-Mexico border is seeing a 900% surge in situations involving illegal aliens from China.

Accounts from The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in April found a significant rise in the number of Chinese nationals arrested by Border Patrol agents this year, with 3,195 individuals captured in that month alone.

Consequently, the total number of Chinese migrants apprehended in Fiscal Year 2023, beginning Oct. 1, 2022, hit 9,753.

According to CBP, 8,207 of those people were single adults. Almost 5,200 of those people came into the country via The Rio Grande Valley Sector in southeast Texas.

Breitbart News reported that a reliable source working within the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said that many of these predominantly military-age male Chinese nationals are paying a pretty penny to get in, with some forking over as much as $55,000 to be smuggled to the U.S. from China.

The source noted that most of the migrants seemed to offer rehearsed answers to questions used to see whether or not they can qualify for an asylum hearing, often pointing to poor living conditions and oppressive rule from the Chinese government as their rationale for leaving the country.

“Due to the high number of migrants in processing facilities, relying on telephonic interpreters does not facilitate ideal debriefings,” the source stated.

“Nearly all of the Chinese migrants are ultimately released,” the source also told Breitbart. As per the CBP report, out of the 9,753 detained migrants, just 14 were booted out of the country via Title 42. The other 9,783 were processed under Title 8, which allows them to be let out into the streets only to be commanded to return at some point years later.

Given that the 8,207 individuals detained is almost as much as the combined total of all Chinese migrants apprehended in the past six years alone, it is safe to say that this is an unprecedently high number. It is important to note, however, that information regarding how many single adults were arrested in previous years can not be found in published reports, per Breitbart.

The issue was covered by Emerald Robinson on a recent episode of her show, with both herself and guest Michael Yon suggesting that the Biden administration is to blame for the influx.
