USAID Headquarters Has Name Stripped As Funding Scandals Uncovered

The words “U.S. Agency for International Development” have been removed from the agency’s headquarters in Washington as the Trump administration continues its efforts to dismantle USAID. This follows an audit that exposed billions in taxpayer dollars spent on global media manipulation, radical activism, and leftist causes.

One of the most striking revelations was USAID’s financial grip on Ukraine’s media. Nine out of ten news outlets in Ukraine relied on foreign funding, with USAID serving as their primary backer. With the Trump administration freezing USAID funds, these outlets are now left searching for new sources of financial support.

Beyond Ukraine, USAID directed massive funding toward global social activism. Millions were allocated for LGBT lobbying in Serbia and a transgender opera in Colombia. A Sesame Street program in Iraq received $20 million, while additional funds went toward gender-based media training in Sri Lanka and a transgender comic book in Peru.

Documents also show USAID’s deep financial ties to Black Lives Matter. A $24.7 million grant was given to the Soros-backed Tides Center, which later transferred more than $12.6 million to BLM-affiliated groups. These funds flowed to Black Lives Matter as it led the 2020 protests that caused billions in damage across U.S. cities.

Concerns over USAID’s role in foreign elections have grown. A German lawmaker in the European Parliament has called for an investigation into whether the agency was used to influence political outcomes across multiple EU countries. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has also promised to reveal all U.S. funding directed toward media and activist organizations in Hungary.

Reports have also linked USAID to President Donald Trump’s first impeachment. A CIA whistleblower who played a key role in the impeachment inquiry cited sources that received financial support from USAID and the State Department. With USAID’s headquarters now stripped of its name, the agency’s role in funding leftist causes continues to face scrutiny.
