Walsh Condemns Fox News For Ignoring ‘Gender Ideology’ At GOP Debate

One of the most important issues in the United States right now is the far left’s push of radical gender ideology, especially on children. However, Fox News did not appear to include the issue in their questions for the first GOP presidential primary debate on Wednesday night, according to Daily Wire host Matt Walsh.

Walsh slammed Fox News as “disgraceful” on Thursday morning for not asking the eight GOP candidates on the stage about “child mutilation and gender ideology.”

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Walsh noted that he had only watched clips of the debate but had not seen anything about “the biggest cultural issue in the country.”

“Did Fox really go the whole debate and not ask a single question about child mutilation and gender ideology, which has been by far the biggest cultural issue in the country for multiple years now?” he asked.

He went on to note that he isn’t “actually shocked” that Fox News didn’t mention the issue, as the network “is in favor of transing the kids so this was to be expected.”

Walsh’s comment was likely referring to Fox News’ recent support of pushing transgenderism and the associated medical treatments on children, including the network airing segments celebrating so-called “trans kids.”

However, there were a few vague references to the issue during the debate — most of which were brought up by the candidates, not the Fox News moderators.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) was the first to bring up the topic of gender ideology — tying it to the issue of education.

“The decline in education is one of the major reasons our country is in decline,” the governor argued. “We need education in this country, not indoctrination.”

“We have to make sure that what our schools are doing, is focusing on solid academics,” DeSantis added. “In Florida, we eliminated Critical Race Theory from our K through 12 schools, we eliminated gender ideology from our K through 12 schools, and we have elevated the importance of American civics.”

The issue was later mentioned by Fox News host Martha MacCallum, but only because she was asking North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R) to respond to past comments from former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley — who stated: “Biological boys playing in girls’ sports is the women’s issue of our time.”

“In North Dakota, we made a priority of protecting women’s sports,” Burgum responded. “We’ve done that in our state… but the idea that every school district and state and every teacher is somehow indoctrinating people is just false.”

Haley then said that there are “a lot of crazy woke things happening in schools … I will always say, I’m going to fight for girls all day long because strong girls become strong women. Strong women become strong leaders and biological boys don’t belong in the locker rooms of any of our girls.”

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) also brought the issue up later in the debate, stating: “If God made you a man, you play sports against men.”
