White House Creating A New Ministry Of Truth

Since the Biden administration came into office, it’s repeatedly shown an interest in controlling the speech of Americans.

Just earlier this month, US national climate adviser Gina McCarthy endorsed the censorship of Americans who oppose Joe Biden’s radical climate change agenda.

McCarthy, by her own admission, believes social media companies need to shut down people who spread supposed “misinformation” about the president’s policies on climate change, fossil fuels, and energy.

Weeks ago, the White House fashioned a Disinformation Governance Board; this board might as well have been a real-life Ministry of Truth from George Orwell’s 1984. Later, after massive backlash from the public, the Biden administration discontinued the Disinformation Governance Board.

The White House isn’t giving up, though. It is now working to revive its Ministry of Truth with a so-called disinformation task force that Vice President Kamala Harris will lead.

What to Know About the White House’s Disinformation Task Force
The vice president announced the purposes of the disinformation task force will center around stopping abuse toward women and LGBTQ people.

One of the very first moves of the task force will involve getting a document to the president that covers online violence towards individuals based on their gender and/or sexuality.

In addition to the vice president, this new disinformation task force will be run and operated by left-wing officials. These officials include US Attorney General Merrick Garland, DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and others.

The White House is already having messaging issues, though, when it comes to explaining the ins and outs of this disinformation task force. Earlier in the week, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned about whether this new group varies at all from the previous Disinformation Governance Board.

Amazingly, Jean-Pierre couldn’t even give a straight response. Instead, the press secretary said she’d have to circle back with the vice president’s team to give an answer.

Horrible Reception From the Public
This disinformation task force is getting about the same feedback as the Disinformation Governance Board received. Much of the country simply view this as yet another Ministry of Truth designed to control and police the speech of Americans.

Other Americans have pointed out that with inflation, high mortgage rates, unaffordable gas prices, and more, the White House should put these issues above the 2.0 version of a Disinformation Governance Board.
