Biden Authorizes Troop Deployment To Europe

America’s persistent support of Ukraine since Russia’s invasion last year has included billions of dollars and an escalating trove of military weapons and equipment.

The Pentagon revealed this week that it had sent an unspecified number of cluster munitions to Ukraine. These bombs have been denounced by nations around the world due to indiscriminate target areas that have resulted in widespread civilian deaths as well as a high “dud rate” that can pose safety risks years after they are deployed.

In fact, the White House previously declared that if Russia were to use cluster bombs it would likely constitute a war crime.

At this point, the Biden administration has approved nearly all forms of support for Ukraine short of sending U.S. troops to fight on the nation’s behalf. According to recent reports, however, even that might not be off the table for long.

President Joe Biden issued an executive order that called certain American servicemembers into active duty in Europe.

Citing his constitutional authority to do so, Biden wrote: “I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation Atlantic Resolve in and around the United States European Command’s area of responsibility.”

The order approved a deployment of up to 3,000 troops.

Considering Biden’s willingness to bypass Congress in pursuit of his military goals, political commentator Lincoln Brown concluded: “This could potentially be unlike anything we have experienced before. And it is past time that cooler and saner heads on both sides of the aisle made this terrible old man and his ambitious, tone-deaf sycophants stand down.”

Republican lawmakers and conservative pundits have been increasingly vocal throughout Biden’s term in office that his foreign policy agenda could lead the U.S. into an all-out war.

“I miss the days when Democrats used to be anti-war,” said U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) in a recent critique of the Biden administration.

Citing the current trend as evidence that America already appears to be in a de facto war with Russia, he determined that the White House is “sleepwalking our great country into a world war.”
