Anti-Israel Demonstrators Accost Attendees At White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Anti-Israel demonstrators recently descended upon the White House correspondents’ dinner, accosting celebrities trying to enter the venue in Washington, D.C. The protestors chanted inflammatory phrases criticizing President Joe Biden over his stance on the Israel-Hamas war.

Just the News reported that attendees walked through a gauntlet to attend the event, which occurred at the Washington Hilton as protestors shouted at them.

George Washington University Law School Professor Jonathan Turley pointed out that several demonstrators tossed fake blood and yelled obscenities at attendees as they entered and exited the venue.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner reacted to the protestors’ actions.

“Shame on the hundreds of Terrorist sympathizers and the Hamas lovers outside last nights [White House correspondents’ dinner] that were far from peaceful. There is no place for you or your vitriolic antisemitism in this country. Get the hell out — we don’t tolerate terrorism here,” Jenner wrote on the social media platform.

Conservative commentator Katie Pavlich approached the demonstrators, who began chanting, “You’re not welcome here.”

Other images from the protest appeared to show protestors waving money in front of the attendees. Although the reasoning behind this is unknown, accusing Jews of being avaricious is a common antisemitic trope, according to Just the News.

At the White House correspondents’ dinner, Biden mocked his presumptive 2024 challenger, former President Donald Trump.

“The 2024 election is in full swing. And yes. Age is an issue. I’m a grown man running against a 6-year-old,” Biden said, referring to Trump.

“I feel great, I feel really great,” the president assured attendees. “I’m campaigning all over the country. Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina — I’ve always done well in the original 13 colonies.”

Biden also took several jabs at himself, saying that at the White House correspondents’ dinner in 2022, his wife told him she was nervous about his speech.

“I said to her ‘Don’t worry, it’s just like riding a bike. She said ‘that’s what I’m worried about,’” the president joked, referring to the time he fell off a bike in Delaware.
