In a rather unsurprising development, illegal immigrants traveling through Mexico to the southern border recently indicated that they would like President Joe Biden to win reelection in November 2024.
The unlawful migrants said they favored Biden over former President Donald Trump, fearing that the former president would squash their dreams of entering the U.S. They would be right in thinking as such, given that Trump is heavily opposed to illegal immigration and has vowed to tackle the issue if elected president.
While speaking to The Free Press, one illegal immigrant said, “If it’s Trump, it doesn’t matter how much I work or want to work. They won’t let me in.”
Townhall pointed out that under Biden’s tenure, millions of illegal immigrants have made their way to the southern border to try and enter the U.S. before election day, with many believing Trump will defeat Biden.

Venezuelan national Alejandra Falcon spoke to The Free Press, saying she is waiting to use the words “credible fear,” as her excuse to enter the U.S. after scheduling an appointment at the border using the Biden administration’s “CBP One” mobile application. She said she hoped she could enter America before election day.
“If [Biden] doesn’t win, I can’t imagine what will happen,” the Venezuelan national said.
Since Biden took office, the U.S. has been subjected to a massive wave of illegal immigration, given the president’s refusal to secure the southern border.
Instead of tackling the issue or disincentivizing it, Biden has encouraged illegal immigration, leading more than 7 million illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. since 2021. Such a figure does not include the number of “gotaways” shared by Border Patrol agents.
Unlike Biden, Trump has vowed to combat illegal immigration if he is elected president. The former president has promised a “border bloodbath.”
In January 2024, Biden pledged he would “shut down the border until it could get back under control.” It seems the president has failed the American people on that promise, with millions of illegal immigrants continuing to make their way to the southern border.
Recent polls have shown that most Americans disprove of Biden’s handling of the southern border.
