Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), in a Fox News appearance Friday that he “wholeheartedly endorsed former President Donald Trump for his 2024 White House run.
“The American people have a choice to make, and in this circumstance, they have a rare, historically unusual chance to choose between two presidents. They have a chance to choose between order and lawlessness. They have an opportunity to choose between putting America first or America last, and I choose first and always to put America first,” Lee said.
I just endorsed Donald Trump.
Whether you like Trump or not, Americans face a binary choice.
Biden refuses to enforce our border, prosecutes his opponents, & embraces policies that make life unaffordable for hardworking Americans.
I’ll take the mean tweets.
I choose Trump. https://t.co/hirfTzUqpH

“Look, whether you like Donald Trump or not, whether you agree with everything he says or not, he is our one opportunity to choose order over chaos and put America first over America last. It’s time to get behind him,” he added.
After the 2020 presidential election, Lee worked behind the scenes with Trump to see if a fair election occurred. Senator Lee’s office sought truth before the election was certified on January 6.
Since 2011, Senator Lee has served in the upper chamber and is the 21st GOP senator to enforce former president Trump. Some of the GOP senators also on the list are Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Rick Scott (R-FL), Josh Hawley (R-MO), JD Vance (R-OH) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
Former UN ambassador Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis have yet to receive a single endorsement from the senators.
“Look, in presidential campaigns, there are always a lot of promises made, and my favorite kinds of political promises are promises kept. Donald Trump has kept promises that he’s made as he has campaigned in the past. We know what kind of president he will be,” Lee continued.
“So whether you agree with him on every point or not, if you are not content with the status quo, the status quo of lawlessness, of putting America last,” Lee continued.
After the endorsement, Senator Lee received various responses over his endorsement, with MAGA supporters welcoming his endorsement while other conservative figures criticized the endorsement.
In a Truth Social post, former President Donald Trump celebrated the senator’s endorsement, writing, “Thank you, MAGA!” In 2022, Trump had previously endorsed Lee for his midterm re-election.
