Weaponized DOJ Charges Key Biden Whistleblower

Continuing a script that is now all too familiar, an opponent of President Joe Biden is now under indictment. Gal Luft on Monday was charged by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York with FARA violations, arms trafficking, violating sanctions, and making false statements.

Luft is the whistleblower who just three days earlier recorded a bombshell video alleging the Biden family engaged in illicit activity with China.

In 2019, he gave information to the FBI and, according to his account, was then relentlessly pursued and harassed until these charges were filed. He was preparing to meet with House Republicans to detail what he claimed to know about the first family.

Luft steadfastly maintains his innocence, charging instead that Biden’s Department of Justice targeted him to silence his allegations.

One of his charges involved the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), for which violations may result in up to five years behind bars and a $10,000 fine.

Even the most casual observer must agree that the federal government is building a legal wall around the president. His chief political rival for reelection in 2024 is under indictment as well as a key witness in the Biden family corruption scandal.

Luft, 57, is a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen. Manhattan prosecutors allege that he disappeared after being released on bail following his arrest in Cyprus earlier this year.

They charge that in 2015, Luft agreed to permit former Hong Kong official Patrick Ho to funnel $350,000 per year to the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security. That organization is Luft’s think tank.

Luft is accused of agreeing to recruit a former top U.S. official to make public statements in favor of China. Some observers suspect that the official was former CIA director James Woolsey.

In the video revealed last week, Luft called the Biden administration’s pursuit of criminal charges a targeted attack to prevent his testimony. Besides asserting that the Biden family received payments from persons tied to the Chinese military, he alleged there was an FBI mole.

This individual, he said, shared classified information with officials from CEFC, the Chinese state-controlled energy company.

Whatever the facts of the case turn out to be, it is difficult to dismiss Luft’s indictment as a mere coincidence. Just as it is nearly impossible to believe that former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign has nothing to do with his indictment either.
