Vandalized Pregnancy Center Blasts FBI For Not Providing Case Updates

Almost two years after pro-abortion vandals attacked a pro-life pregnancy resource center in New York, staff members at the facility are frustrated with federal law enforcement for not providing updates on the investigation.

CompassCare, a life-affirming medical organization that has three offices in New York, has said that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is refusing to update staff on the progress being made in an investigation into a June 2022 attack on the facility.

The government agency has reportedly set up billboards within a few miles of the Rochester location—which were first seen by staff on April 1— advertising a reward of $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. However, according to staff at the center, the FBI has refused to talk to them about the signs or provide any status update about the investigation.

Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare, clarified that the pregnancy center “did not” pay for the “expensive billboard,” adding the federal law enforcement “refuses to communicate.”

Harden further criticized the FBI by describing the Justice Department as having acted in an “erratic nature” when it comes to acts of violence against pro-life organizations, which spiked in the wake of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision in June 2022 and prior to the decision, as the news of the Supreme Court’s intent to overturn Roe v. Wade had been leaked.

He wondered if the change in behavior—referring to the FBI seeming to push aside the cases but now appearing to take them more seriously—is “PR related” or if the agency is “under pressure” from both the media and congressional committees. Harden also said that there is a possibility that the organization “anticipate[s] more violence” against pro-life groups in the near future and is trying to “make it look like they care.”

The FBI’s reward billboards come after CompassCare filed a civil lawsuit against the abortion activists responsible for vandalizing the Buffalo clinic.

The facility was attacked on June 7, 2022, weeks before the Supreme Court reversed the long-held constitutional “right” to abortion. According to a press release from CompassCare, the facility was struck with a firebomb that damaged windows in both the lobby and the nurses’ office. The building was also graffitied and pointed to Jane’s Revenge, a radical pro-abortion activist group that claimed responsibility for dozens of attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers and churches.
