A group of illegal immigrants were arrested in New York City after attacking two NYPD officers in front of a shelter near Times Square.
The incident occurred on Saturday around 8:30 p.m. when officers approached a group that was loitering in the street. Soon, a fight broke out, and the group of illegals ganged up on the officers.
In a video released of the attack, the illegals could be seen ganging up on the officers, hitting and kicking them while they were grappling with one of the suspects.
The two officers involved sustained minor injuries, including facial cuts and bruises.
Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, 19, Kelvin Servat Arocha, 19, Juarez Wilson, 21, and Yorman Reveron, 24, were shortly apprehended by police a few hours later. Police confirmed that each of the men was staying in a shelter for illegal immigrants.

A few of the illegals involved in the attack had a prior history of violence.
Reveron has two other open cases for assault and robbery. According to The Daily Wire, he supposedly “pushed, punched, and bit” an employee at Nordstrom Rack after being caught trying to steal a $130 item. He also attempted to steal from Macy’s last month and is accused of punching a loss prevention officer.
Arocha was arrested a few weeks ago for petit larceny, and Yorman had been previously taken into custody last November and December for robbery, according to The Villager.
On Monday night, a fifth suspect was arrested. Jhoan Boada, 22, was charged with attempted assault of a police officer.
“Attacks on police officers are becoming an epidemic, and the reason is a revolving door we’re seeing in cases like this one,” said Police Benevolent Association president Patrick Hendry in a statement. “It is impossible for police officers to deal effectively with crime and disorder if the justice system can’t or won’t protect us while we do that work.”
What’s shocking is that they were charged with assault on a police officer, gang assault, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct and released without bail.
Using the video footage of the attack, officers released photos of four more suspects on Tuesday to seek assistance from the public in identifying the men.
