Trump Slams ‘Deranged Jack Smith’ Over Mar-A-Lago Evidence Inconsistencies

Former President Trump has lashed out at special counsel Jack Smith calling him “Deranged Jack” after Smith admitted in a court filing that the order of items within some boxes of evidence seized from Mar-a-Lago is not consistent with the associated scans.

The admission has prompted House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) to launch an investigation into potential evidence manipulation in the classified records case against Trump.

“Now Deranged Jack has admitted in a filing in front of Judge Cannon to what I have been saying happened since the Illegal RAID on my home Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach Florida – That he and his team committed blatant Evidence Tampering by mishandling the very Boxes they used as a pretext to bring this Fake Case” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Trump has consistently maintained his innocence calling the case a “scam” and an “Election Interference Scam” promoted by the Biden administration and “Deranged Jack Smith.” He has pleaded not guilty to the charges which include allegedly violating the Espionage Act making false statements to investigators and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

The inconsistencies in the evidence boxes have raised concerns about the Justice Department’s impartiality and whether Smith’s team misled a federal court. Jordan has demanded that the Office of Professional Responsibility produce all documents and records related to any allegations of ethical impropriety regarding Smith or other attorneys assigned to the special counsel’s office by May 20.
