MSNBC Misleads Viewers About FBI Terrorism Reward

As the FBI finally announced last week that it is offering a reward for information concerning attacks primarily centered on pro-life pregnancy centers around the country, the radical leftists at MSNBC attempted to wildly spin the story as being about Republicans engaging in “domestic terrorism.”

Last Thursday, the FBI said it was offering a $25,000 reward for information about the attacks on “reproductive health service facilities across the country.” Violent abortion advocates began terrorizing pregnancy centers immediately after the draft opinion of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson was leaked last May. When the official ruling was handed down in June, it overruled Roe v. Wade, returning the power to regulate or ban abortions to each state.

Director Christopher Wray said in the agency’s press release that the reward “reflects the FBI’s commitment to vigorously pursue investigations into crimes against pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and reproductive health clinics across the country.”

The statement identified ten incidents of violent attacks related to the Supreme Court decision. Of those, nine were at pro-life pregnancy centers, and only one was at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.

The day after the rewards were announced, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell had former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards on for an interview. She asked her about the reward and attacks on ten “reproductive health care clinics.”

Based on the framing of her answer using the language of the abortion industry, Richards said it is “horrifying to think that this is happening in the United States. She went on to say that the “Republican party, through these abortion bans, the, kind of, bounty hunter system that is in place in places like Texas, it has created fear across the country for women, for young people, for families.”

Of course, Mitchell never mentioned that 90% of the facilities involved in the FBI reward are pro-life facilities that have been fire-bombed and attacked by violent pro-abortion domestic terrorists. Incredibly, she instead asked the Planned Parenthood mouthpiece why the violence is all the fault of Republicans and pro-life advocates.

Mitchell praised the FBI with some amazing spin: “As these abortion bans are in effect longer and longer, we’re seeing more women, more patients who can’t get medical care because doctors and health care providers are terrified of breaking laws that haven’t even really been fully explained and written by non-medical professionals so it’s a climate of fear. I’m glad the federal government has stepped in.”

In any event, the public can at least hope that the reward incentive will lead some with knowledge of the identity of the responsible terrorists to step forward.
